Une journée pour rappeler que le viol est utilisé comme arme de guerre dans de nombreux conflits actuels, crime souvent occulté, et qui constitue pourtant bien une arme à part entière. La Fondatrice et Présidente de WWoW parle également de l’importance du travail au niveau local aux côtés des victimes.

On the 19th of June, for the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in conflicts, Céline Bardet was invited by France24 to raise the issue of rape as a weapon of war. She insists on the idea that rape in war zones is a true weapon, with strategic goals. It is used today in many conflicts around the world.
The organization she created works alongside the victims, and aims at enabling them to be at the core of their rehabilitation in the society. It is of the utmost importance to help them in this process and not to lock them in the status of victims.
