Léa Darves-Bornoz is a lawyer specialized in international criminal law, with a practice focused on combating sexual violence in times of conflict.

She began her career at WWoW as the head of expertise on conflict-related sexual violence, where she contributed to the organization's legal and policy analysis work and advocacy efforts.

 

Currently, Léa works in Iraq as part of the gender and child unit of UNITAD (United Nations Investigative Team for Accountability of Da'esh/ISIL), where she conducts investigations into crimes committed by the Islamic State in Iraq, particularly sexual crimes. At the same time, she remains actively engaged with WWoW, closely following the organization's developments. »
